How are you discussing putting first things? I love how simply this quote puts things in perspective. The other things can be really great but if it's not God first, it doesn't really matter, does it?

Find this quote from President Dallin H. Oaks in his General Conference talk, “Focus and Priorities.”

I'm thankful to be able to pray to a Heavenly Father who knows me, what's really best for me, and who will answer me. Read more in Elder Richard G. Scott’s talk, “Trust in the Lord.”

This is such a great tie in to the next week's lesson as we begin to discuss having peace in the midst of the storms. Prayer can bring peace. Read more about prayer and being your best self from President Thomas S. Monson.

Love the imagery of the road in this quote. Use this quote as you discuss prayer with your family. If you have young kids, get out the blocks, road pieces, or even masking tape. Put some barriers in the way of the cards and talk about what those things might be and how we can keep our roads clear!

This quote comes from a General Conference quote that I can’t find the link to right now, however, it’s in Deseret Bookshelf’s quote vault if you are looking. You can also verify he said it doing an internet search.

One of the classic judgement quotes now. I still remember when I heard this one because it helped me put things back into perspective and let certain things go as well as realize some of the changes I needed to make. Don't waste your energy or time on these things. It's just not worth it.

Discover this quote in Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s talk, “The Merciful Obtain Mercy.”

"Sound, healthy, simple, sincere" are such great words to plug in as you read some of the verses in Matthew 6. Try it!
