Does your family love paper airplanes? Use them to help #LIGHTtheWORLD! You will discover two designs for your family to enjoy this Christmas. One paper airplane has “Light the World” written on the wings and one has “Choose the Right.” Use them for all sorts of fun this year.

Save it for later, pin it now!

Each plane can be folded in a simple dart style, however, for the last step, keep folding it inward so the design will show. This is a great dart airplane folding video tutorial if you need help folding. You will also be able to print two hoop targets for your planes to fly through. Simply cut these out and punch a hole in the top to hang with string. Don’t worry if they spin, that’s part of the challenge!

Ways You Can Use Your Paper Airplanes

  • Write how you plan to help #LIGHTtheWORLD this December on the backside of your airplane. You can get all sorts of great inspiration on the Light the World website. Check out their calendars and giving machines! Share with each other, fold them up, and fly them. How far might your light reach this Christmas season?

  • Use the Choose the Right airplanes to talk about decisions and how we can figure out the right choices in our lives. Then try to fly your airplane through the right hoop. Hang your hoops close together to make it tricky!

  • Use your airplanes for a fun target game. Print out my Light the World coloring page and assign different values to the different images on the page. For example, the house might be 10 points but the gingerbread man could be 100 points. Then take turns flying your planes at it and see who can get the most points. You can also do this with service ideas instead if you are having a hard time picking which service idea to do first.

  • Challenge your friends and neighbors to a paper airplane contest. Who can fly theirs the furthest or do the coolest tricks? Have some fun together and share some tips.

  • Brighten someone’s day by folding some paper airplanes and combining them with some other fun treats to give.
