Pick one, do them all, or pick one to do for yourself and one with your family. You can’t go wrong with Christmas Advents as long as they bring joy and not stress!

Print Kindness Advent

Kindness and Scripture Advent

Focus on little acts of kindness as you pick different activities to do each day. There is no specific order, chose what you want when you want. Some are scriptures to read, others are acts of service like picking up trash. Grab a pack of circle stickers or color each circle in after you have completed it and you will have a decorated scene for Christmas.

25 Days of Christ Advent

Christ Was Love has a beautiful advent. There are pictures of Jesus Christ and a Bible verse on one side and the countdown numbers on the other. Hang it like banner or garland on your fireplace or get the magnets and put them on your fridge or other magnetic board. It's a simple way to keep your focus on Christ all month long. Print Book of Mormon Advent

Book of Mormon Advent Calendar

Celebrate a year of studying the Book of Mormon with this fun printable advent. You will need legal paper (8.5x14) to print this one out. Once you get a pack of legal paper you’ll find all kinds of great ways to use it (they make great placemats). Under each number is a picture portraying a scene from the Book of Mormon ending with a Nephite Christmas and Christ’s resurrection.

Cut a flap for each number then glue the two pieces together. Use the guide sheets to quickly find the scripture reference to the story in the Book of Mormon. Discuss with your family how each story tells us more about Jesus Christ.

25 Days of Christ Ornament Set

This Christ-centered advent from New Traditions Crafts is popular for a reason! Each day you hang an ornament that coordinates with a scripture story. Focus exclusively on the New Testament or get the one that adds some Book of Mormon verses as well. You will love this daily mini devotional advent. Nativity paper advents- great for counting down to Christmas with focus. #teachlikeachicken #Christmas #advent

Classic Paper Advents

These classic advents are still a hit. No chocolate, no toys, just pictures and words behind each number. Honestly, the first year I present these advents to my kids, I was worried because they weren't big and flashy but they have absolutely loved them and prefer them over the others. My favorites are when you open the door for the day and it continues the scene (like the advent with the flamingo door open above). Others will you tell you a line of the Nativity story each day (like the horizontal advent pictured above). They are beautiful, fun, focused on Christ, and a great way to countdown to Christmas. Check out my favorite Nativity ones as well as other paper advents we have used throughout the years.

Sweet Names of Christ Countdown

Use my Titles for Jesus Christ Candy Study to countdown to Christmas! Attach the circle labels to small pieces of candy like Rolos or Kisses and put them in a bowl. Then hang up the meanings for each name nearby. Each day, your family can take a piece of candy, look up its meaning on the study sheet, ponder or read some additional scriptures. Simple, sweet, and focused on Christ.

See it in action on my idea pin.

Soft Nativity Scene

My kids loved this soft and beautiful countdown to Christmas when they were young. I think they played with it more than we actually used it as advent though! It's so much fun to set the scene then rearrange it all again. The best part? When they drop it, the pieces won't break. Use it every year!
