One of the best ways to help our kids remember General Conference talks is by retelling the stories. In our home, one that has stayed with us is the story President Jeffrey R. Holland shared about Easton passing the sacrament. We love his example of quiet determination, diligently fulfilling his duty despite the extreme effort it took. That simple act reminds our family of the sacredness of the ordinance and the importance of doing our best.
Stories have a way of sticking. They inspire our kids when they need it most. In a world where “try hard” can feel like an insult, they appreciate these examples of people who sincerely try their best and are blessed because of it. That’s why we put together a way for your family to review some of the powerful stories shared this Conference too.
Save it for later, pin it now!
We’ve put together a free printable recap page that highlights many of these stories, complete with space to jot down your own takeaways and add any personal stories that come to mind while you review. Think of it as a keepsake that helps you remember, review, and reflect.
Here are a few of the memorable stories you’ll remember:
President Steven J. Lund told of how a young group of deacons became Alan’s boys and a bishop tenderly blessing the sacrament after the loss of his child.
Elder Dale G. Renlund used the story of Zusya and farmer Paavo to teach about becoming the best version of ourselves and using our gifts to help one another.
Elder Gary E. Stevenson recalled a noticeable change in a customs officer as she examined his wife’s passport.
Bishop Gérald Caussé shared the beautiful story of hearing just the last few minutes of Elder Neal A. Maxwell’s talk - a reminder that when we try our best, God can make even a few minutes enough.
And that’s just the start. The printable covers more stories plus extra lines where you can write down:
Stories we didn’t highlight- there are more stories that were just a line or two that we didn’t include in this printable. Add the ones that stood out to you.

Moments from your own life that connect to what you heard
Plus we added a quick game at the bottom for extra fun: Synonym Swap. Guess the correct General Conference talk based on the synonyms we used. Each talk comes from the list of stories included.
Each story, whether from Easton’s literal climb or the gentle prompt to resist hiding mistakes, drilled a spiritual truth deep into our hearts. Jot down your takeaway next to each summary as you review the talks. And if another story or a personal experience came to mind while reading, write that in, too. Then bring up a story from Conference with your family this week and see what memories it stirs for them. It’s a great way to get ready for the next round of General Conference sessions.
