Spring is bursting with color, sunshine, and the sweet joy of Easter. Celebrate Easter with games that bring laughter, learning, and the gospel all together. Whether you're gathered around the kitchen table with your kids, planning a Primary activity, or just looking to make some Christ-centered memories, these Easter games are designed to add both fun and faith to your celebration. Balance eggs or try our sticker-covered challenge. Each activity gives families a chance to connect, play, and reflect on the true meaning of Easter.

Save it for later, pin it now!

While we’ve added a few gospel tie-ins to spark inspiration, one of the most enriching ways to play is by inviting your family, class, or church group to come up with the spiritual connections themselves. It’s amazing how personal and powerful the lessons become when kids and adults alike look for gospel parallels on their own. After all, when we seek Christ in all things- even egg races and sticker trays- we start to see Him everywhere.

Now let the games begin!

Peeps Showdown

Get ready for some egg slinging fun!

Supplies

  • 10 plastic Easter eggs per player (20 total)

  • 5 marshmallow Peeps per player (10 total)

  • A long table (kitchen table works great!)

Set Up

  1. Players stand on opposite ends of the table.

  2. Each player lines up 5 Peeps evenly spaced along the very edge of their side of the table.

  3. Give each player 10 plastic eggs.

How to Play

  • On “GO!”, both players start sliding their eggs across the table, trying to knock the opponent’s Peeps off the other end.

  • When you run out of eggs, gather them off your side of the floor. Hurry though! Your opponent can still try to knock your Peeps off when you are gathering.

  • First to knock off all 5 of their opponent’s Peeps wins.

Rules to Keep in Mind

  • No blocking eggs with hands, arms, or any body part. Focus on your aim instead.

  • No catching your Peeps- they’re on their own.

  • No flinging eggs in the air- eggs must slide across the table only!

Play best 2 out of 3 for extra Easter fun.

Gospel Tie-in

Just like the Peeps in the game, we sometimes feel like life is throwing a lot our way. Sometimes it knocks us down or we feel alone. But unlike in this game, we are never left alone. There is help. We can pray to a loving Heavenly Father and have the guiding influence of the Holy Ghost. If we fall down due to sin, we can repent because Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. There is always hope, joy, and a way back.

Jelly Bean Spin-off

Supplies

  • Plastic Easter eggs separated into halves - each person needs a half.

  • A bag of jelly beans

  • A flat surface (table or floor)

Set Up

  1. Give each player one half of a plastic Easter egg with one jelly bean inside it.

  2. Make sure everyone has space to spin their egg. Ideally you want it so they don’t bump into each other but that’s also part of the challenge. Go ahead and give your egg a few practice spins.

How to Play

  • On the count of three, everyone spins their egg like a top with the jelly bean inside.

  • If the jelly bean stays inside during the spin, you earn another jelly bean for your next round.

  • If any jelly beans fly out, they stay out- no putting them back in.

  • If your egg half is completely empty of jelly beans, you’re out.

Your goal is to be the last person with jelly beans. Play a few rounds.

Bonus Challenge

See who can spin their egg the longest. Give everyone three jelly beans for this spin-off.

Gospel Tie-In

One jelly bean at a time might not seem like much BUT over time, those small wins add up. The longer your egg stays steady, the more jelly beans you get. The same is with life, it’s the small, simple things that make a big difference. For example, reading your scriptures for a few minutes, saying a sincere prayer, choosing to be kind. Each one might feel tiny, but together, they help you become a a strong, steady disciple of Christ. As Alma 37:6 says, “Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.”

At Easter, we remember that Jesus Christ made the greatest sacrifice of all. And we honor Him not just with big moments- but with the little ones too. Each small act of faith brings us closer to Him. What’s one “jelly bean” choice you can make this week to follow Jesus?

Palm Sunday Stack

We’re using your palm in this one.

Supplies

  • 5 plastic cups per player (all the same size)

How to Play

  • Give each person 5 plastic cups.

  • Players hold out one hand, palm up- this will be your “building zone.”

  • On “GO!”, use your other hand to build a tower using all 5 cups on your palm.

    • No nesting cups inside each other!

    • Your building hand can’t touch the cups once the tower is complete.

  • The first player to stack all 5 cups and keep the tower standing for 5 seconds wins!

Gospel Tie-In

Cups fall. Sometimes a lot! It can be frustrating or even discouraging - but the only way to win is to keep trying. Life is just like that. We make mistakes. We fall. We mess up. Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we get to try again- as many times as we need to.

Jesus didn’t just suffer for our sins. He also experienced our disappointments, weaknesses, and frustrations. So when we fall, He understands that frustration too. Christ offers help, hope, and healing. Not just once either, but every single time we turn to Him. As Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf said, “Because of Jesus Christ, our failures do not have to define us. They can refine us.”

Easter Egg Drop

Get ready for a hilarious twist on the classic egg toss- with a plastic egg and a cup. See who’s got the best backward aim and fastest reflexes.

Supplies

  • 1 plastic egg per player

  • 1 plastic cup per player

  • A timer (or phone)

  • A clear space with a wall to stand against

How to Play

  1. Each player stands with their back against a wall, holding a plastic egg in one hand and a cup in the other.

  2. On “GO!”, toss the egg up and over your head against the wall (no turning around!). Be ready for it to bounce back down and catch it in your cup.

  3. Every time you successfully catch the egg, you get 1 point.

  4. Keep going for one full minute- as fast as you can, but without smashing into the wall or anyone else! The player with the most points, wins.

Variation

Instead of keeping points, each time you catch the egg in your cup, take one step away from the wall. The furthest successful person wins.

Gospel Tie-In

Sometimes we have to simply move forward with faith in Jesus Christ, not knowing exactly how things will work out but trusting God that they will. This game is all about that! You're tossing the egg without looking and hoping it lands right where it’s supposed to.

Trusting in God requires letting go, acting in faith, and believing that He’ll guide and catch us- even when we can’t see how. This Easter, we remember that because of Jesus Christ, we can trust in His timing, His plan, and His power.

Eggs-press Delivery

This one began as a simple challenge to stand up with a tray of eggs on your head. After MANY tries, we went with this simpler version instead. 😄

Supplies

  • 1 flat baking tray per player (no edges)

  • 12 plastic Easter eggs per tray

  • An open space with a clear “start” and “finish” line

How to Play

  • Place 12 plastic eggs on your tray.

  • Stand at the start line holding the tray at eye level with only one hand (no helping with the other).

  • Your other hand stays behind your back unless retrieving a fallen egg.

  • If an egg falls off, stop, bend down, and gently place it back on your tray.

  • If all your eggs fall off, you must go back to the start and begin again.

  • First one to cross the finish line wins!

Variations

  • Carry your tray above your head for an added challenge!

  • Do it backward, or in teams passing the tray like a baton.

  • Place a container on the opposite side of the room. Keep going back and forth until your container is filled with eggs. This works great as a relay.

Gospel Tie-In

Carrying a tray full of eggs while trying to walk steadily is a lot like how we balance our lives. We juggle family, school, callings, friendships, and faith- trying not to let anything slip. But the truth is, when Jesus Christ is at the center of our lives, everything else stays in place more easily.

If we try to carry everything without Him, things start to fall apart. But when we keep our eyes on Him, like keeping the tray at eye level, we can find peace and joy- even when life feels wobbly. Let this Easter game be a reminder that when things start to fall, we can always pause, reset, and realign our focus on the Savior.

Sticky Situation

An Egg-cellent Easter egg balance game.

Supplies

  • A flat tray or cookie sheet

  • Stickers

  • One plastic Easter egg

How to Play

  • Spread stickers sticky-side-up all across your tray. We did a circle formation- test a few out and see what you like best. Note: the cheaper and older the stickers, the less sticky they are.

  • Place your plastic Easter egg right in the middle.

  • Carefully tilt and move your tray to roll the egg around and pick up as many stickers as you can.

  • The moment your egg falls off the tray, you're done.

  • Count your stickers- whoever collects the most, wins!

Want to make it more challenging? Try it with one hand behind your back or on one foot!

Gospel Tie-In

Just like the stickers cling to the egg as it rolls around, we naturally pick up the things we spend the most time with- habits, attitudes, etc. Easter reminds us that because of Jesus Christ and His Atonement, we can choose to “stick to” faith, hope, and charity- no matter how much the world tries to pull us off course. This game be a fun way to talk about what we’re letting “stick” in our lives and what we may need to let go.
