Lesson
Primary 6 Lesson 47: The Priesthood Can Bless Our Lives (Priesthood Preparation Lesson) should be taught before the first child in your class turns 12. The purpose is to understand the blessings and responsibilities of the priesthood.
TEACHING THOUGHTS
Use the journaling pages and teaching helps found in What is the Priesthood? Teaching Package
Play this trivia game as you learn about how the priesthood was restored (included in the class packet).
Hide glow sticks around the room with questions or quotes on them and the room completely dark. As people enter and pick them up they also pick up how they will participate in the lesson!
Check out the board activity included in The Red Headed Hostess class packet.
There is always this P-Reese-Hood handout too- scroll to the bottom of her post.
Read through the Gospel Standards together. Define any words or phrases that don't make sense to your class (Ask!) then have your class underline or circle phrases that stuck out to them and make a goal to work on improving in one area this week.
Cut apart the Gospel Standards handout (found below) into strips and play charades.
