When do you counsel with the Lord? Do you make it a part of your regular routine like Elder Ballard suggested with family councils or is it something you need to work on? This week's favorite scripture highlight from Jessica at Latter-day Chatter is Alma 37:37 which says,
"Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day."
If you are new, every Wednesday during the summer, different LDS bloggers share their favorite scripture and why via Facebook. In each Faceboook Live video, they will also tell you about the new free printable I make to go along with their scripture. Sometimes it's a poster to hang in your home, sometimes a coloring page, and in this case, it is a mini booklet. Be sure to check out some of the other scripture freebies too.
In this mini scripture booklet of Alma 37:37, the verse is divided into 4 sections. Use this booklet:
- In Family Home Evening- It makes a great lesson as it's already divided up. Go over each section and memorize each part all month long. At the start you can give the four pieces and see if your family can put the scripture in the right order.
- At Church- Laminate the cards or slip them into a mini photo album. Add some of my 52 scripture cards about the Savior to fill it out some more. If you have dry erase markers, encourage your children to draw pictures for the other cards or add to these scenes. It makes a great quiet book.
- To Ponderize- Hang it up on your fridge and start memorizing. The photos will help sink the words in.
- On Your Mirror- Put a piece of this scripture up on different mirrors throughout your house and think about how each part stands alone as well as supports the other parts.

If you need a different size than is available in the above file, email me with the specific scripture reference and I'll send you the image files to print at a place like Shutterfly. To get that richer color at home, print the cards out on photo paper. The gloss gives it that extra pop.
Your Turn- How will you use this scripture booklet?
