Videos
Book of Mormon Videos- From the Illustrated Scripture Stories, you could just play a few or the introduction one
A Book with a Promise (about 2 1/2 minutes)- Mormon Message- too old for the littlest ones but the older ones might sit through it and like it.
What is the Book of Mormon? (about 1 minute)- A 60 second animated overview of the Book of Mormon.
My Behold Your Little Ones Lesson 22 handout packet includes
5 circles relating to the stories in the manual and how the Book of Mormon teaches me about Jesus Christ. Punch holes into the sides and string them on a necklace. You can even string cut straws in between the circles if your children enjoy lacing activities.
Activity Ideas
Book of Mormon Figurines- Here are also Abinadi and King Noah, Nephi Builds a Ship, Alma and Amulek, Joseph Smith. Use them to tell a story from the Book of Mormon in the lesson; have the kids make them into puppets, hide them around the room and play "hide and seek" with them then tell a little about them.
Mormon and the Book of Mormon- A rebus story (story with pictures for word) so you can teach them how to "read" it a little bit. Make it into a little booklet or into "Gold Plates" by using foil as the cover.
Book of Mormon Times and Today- Match modern pictures up with scripture pictures. Could also cut these pictures out and make something like a lei necklace- use straws and fruit loops with them.
Book of Mormon Animals- These animals can be found in the Book of Mormon (references are provided).
The Book of Mormon is a Great Book- Poster of a family reading it- turn it into a puzzle or use it as a visual
A Voice from the Dust- Love the visual on this poster- talk about how the plates were buried until Joseph was ready to translate them
Publishing the Book of Mormon- How many copies of the Book of Mormon can you find or use it to talk about how it was printed
I Will Read the Book of Mormon- Reading chart but use it as a gluing activity instead if you are up for it!
I Know the Book of Mormon is True- Hidden objects
The Story of the Book of Mormon- Picture Timeline of the Book of Mormon- you could just hold it up and have the kids point to one and talk about that picture and so on. There is also this one.
Coloring Pages
Coming Forth of the Book of Mormon- Mini storybook
The Power to Baptize and Confirm
Book of Mormon Feast- Another reading chart but fun to just color!
Book of Mormon Coloring Chart- Just use it as a coloring page or glue squares on it or get some stickers to cover it.
