God has always valued freedom. He could have made us follow Him automatically, but instead, He gave us something powerful: agency. The ability to choose for ourselves. Every Independence Day, we not only celebrate our nation’s freedom, but we also honor the freedom God has given us. To help your family reflect on both, we created two meaningful (and fun!) gospel-themed coloring pages just for the holiday.
Save it for later, pin it now!
These coloring pages are simple to print and great for adding gospel fun to your 4th of July. Enjoy them:
Waiting for fireworks: Holding your spot on the grass can feel endless. These pages give kids something uplifting and creative to do while the sky gets dark.
Family BBQs and gatherings: Set up a little coloring corner. Kids stay engaged, the adults get a minute to chat.
Road trips: Heading out of town for the long weekend? Toss these into a travel bag for a faith-filled activity that doesn’t require Wi-Fi or to enjoy on the ride to watch the fireworks.
Quiet time at home: Whether it’s early in the day or winding down after the festivities, these coloring pages bring a peaceful, gospel-focused moment into the mix.
Grab some metallic markers or crayons to make those fireworks really pop on your coloring page.
You’ll find two great quotes from the scriptures on these coloring pages: Article of Faith 11 and 2 Nephi 2:27. Take a minute to read them out loud and talk about what they mean to you. Want to talk more about religious freedom? Check out this Gospel Topic in the Gospel Library app.
Whether you’re coloring under the stars or gathered around the kitchen table, we hope these pages help your family feel connected- to each other and to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
