The Holy Ghost is a vital part of our lives. He teaches, testifies, warns, and comforts us. After baptism, we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, making it possible for this member of the Godhead to be our constant companion as we strive to stay worthy. Help your family learn more about the Holy Ghost and how He works with our free Holy Ghost cootie catcher activity.

Save it for later, pin it now!

Here are some ways you can introduce this activity to your family:

  • Discuss how we can invite the Holy Ghost into our lives more so we will know the way we should go (reference 2 Nephi 31:17-20; 32). Print and fold up the Holy Ghost cootie catcher. The outside words are things the Holy Ghost does. Under each flap is something we can do to invite the Holy Ghost in.

  • There is also a blank cootie catcher for you to personalize. Come up with your own ideas of how to invite the Holy Ghost into your life or other things you love about the Holy Ghost. There are some great General Conference talks you can reference as you do so:

  • As we learn in 2 Nephi 31:19-20, the Holy Ghost guides us. Discuss these verses with your family as you dive deeper into what some words mean with the help of this New Era article from June 2014.

  • Keep the conversation going! We receive the gift of the Holy Ghost after we are baptized. Talk about baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost with the help of our Golf the Mini Way Gospel Fun Kit. It’s full of fun tasks and prompts to get you talking and learning together.
