Don’t you love Easter? Spring has sprung, warmth and hope are in the air. It’s a much simpler holiday than Christmas but still has the fabulous focus of Jesus Christ. Don’t let the Easter bunny be the star this holiday. Share the Easter story with your family in one of these fun ways!

Save it for later, pin it now!

You can also use these methods to send some Easter fun to a neighbor, family member, etc. Especially with everyone needing to practice social distancing, an Easter surprise in the mail can be quite the welcomed gift!

He Is Risen: Lessons from Holy Week

We all love New Tradition Crafts for their 25 Days of Christmas but have you seen what they have for Easter this year? He is Risen: Lesson from Holy Week is fabulous! There are 8 story scenes from Holy Week that you can use with chipboard characters so your children can hold the pieces and get more involved with the stories. The 24 page illustrated companion book includes scriptures, summary, and discussion prompts.

Christ Mosaic Countdown

Easter countdowns are especially helpful because the day we celebrate changes every year! Help your family know when Easter is coming with our Christ Mosaic. Each day for 25 days, color one mosaic tile and watch your masterpiece transform.

Each tile includes a different name for Christ with a scripture reference so you can ponder it a bit more. Your family will love watching it all come together and each taking part. You’ll love that it focuses on why we celebrate Easter, Jesus Christ.

14-Day Easter Countdown

I love this Easter kit from The Dating Divas. Hang up the Easter banner, use the included conversation cards to discuss scriptures and questions about the last few weeks of Christ's life, and enjoy the fun printable Easter activities like the board game or host a Passover meal. There are even fun things to include in your family's Easter baskets that will remind them of the Savior.

Build an Easter Temple

Make your own Easter temple! Using pictures from the Come, Follow Me manuals (this year’s and last), your gospel art kit, or the ones online plus my free printables, build a temple throughout Easter week. My Easter temple focuses on the resurrection and the blessings we receive as a result (hence the temple). You can also print a blank temple to draw in your own answers instead of using pictures.

You can also find more Easter ideas for your Come, Follow Me lesson in my helps.

Resources from ChurchofJesusChrist.org

There are all sorts of great free resources at ChurchofJesusChrist.org such as stories, countdowns, coloring pages, puppets, activities, etc. Pick some that you like and do one a day or a few on Easter. You can even put some together to make a scroller box like the one pictured above. As you tell the Easter story, scroll to each picture. Have your children color the pictures beforehand so they can be apart of it all. Too overwhelming to go through all those Easter resources? Just open up the March/April edition of The Friend. There is always something great in there.
