These coloring pages are more than just a fun activity- they're full of possibilities! Here are a few creative ways to make the most of them:
Reflect and Ponder. Sunday afternoons are great for relaxing, coloring, and reflecting on what you've studied at church. Enjoy a quiet moment as you ponder the things you have studied at church and throughout the week. It’s a great way to meditate.
Reinforce a Come, Follow Me lesson. Many of these coloring pages tie in with Come, Follow Me lessons. For example, the chicken page pairs beautifully with 3 Nephi 10, while others feature quotes from the Beatitudes found in both 3 Nephi and Matthew 5-7. Keep an eye out for opportunities to link your coloring with your scripture study!
Transform your pages into lanterns! Fold it into a cylinder, staple the edges, and place a battery-operated candle inside- voila! A lantern. It makes a great centerpiece, decoration, or even a fun gift for a friend.
Minister! Attach your favorite coloring tool with some pages and give them to your ministering sisters. It’s a thoughtful way to stop by, say hello, and share a message.
Hold an Art Night. Print the same coloring page for everyone and teach a fun technique like watercolor or blending. This can even be done over Zoom with grandma! It’s a fun, interactive way to connect.
Organize a Art Walk. Invite everyone in your group to color, paint, etc. a different page then display them in windows or along the sidewalk. Create a map and take a walk to admire everyone's artwork. You can also do this around the church if houses are too far apart.
Connect Relief Society and Young Women. Host a joint activity where the Relief Society and Young Women meet to color together. It’s a relaxed, creative way to get to know each other better and build friendships across generations while enjoying a simple, fun project. Set up tables with all the necessary coloring tools and coloring pages, turn on some beautiful gospel music softly in the background, and enjoy the night chatting and coloring together.
And so much more! Get creative and see where these coloring pages take you.
This chicken page is obviously one of our favorites as it’s based on the name of this site- Chicken Scratch n Sniff. God continually will gather us under His wings if we let Him (see 3 Nephi 10:4-6; D&C 10:65; Matthew 23:37 to name a few). Jesus always invites us to come to Him. It also reminds us to rise and shine the light of Christ every day. As Latter-day Saint parents, church leaders, friends, etc. we can let our lights shine and help gather in others.
Print your pages and start planning your next fun coloring adventure!
