It’s time for another General Conference! No matter what General Conference ends up looking like, it’s always a spiritually strengthening weekend. Celebrate Conference, keep hands busy, and take notes with the free printables for this next General Conference weekend.
Save it for later, pin it now!
Below you’ll see each page that is included in this free printable download (use the button at the bottom of this post to print). I also shared which coloring tool I used for each page. I love coloring. I’m not a serious colorer but I have fun and color weekly with these trusty tools.
That's President Russell M. Nelson waving hello from the pulpit. Fill the lines in the background with your favorite pattern or even favorite quotes from his talks.
I love lots of shades of markers. The colors I used for this coloring page come from the big 40 pack of Crayola markers.
Here's a fun one you can color that takes a wink at this blog's name, Chicken Scratch n Sniff. It's meant to just be a fun page to color in the spring at General Conference time.
This picture is colored with Metallic Markers. They are fun but I prefer the Glitter Markers. The metallic ones are bit too dark for me. Both these type of markers can run easily so they are best for older colorers. A light touch is all that is needed. I prefer the Crayola ones over off brands as they don't run as much. I haven't tried any of the more expensive kinds.
I made this coloring page after hearing how April 2020 General Conference was going to be quite different in terms of attendance. Since not all the 15 apostles and prophets will be in the same room for most sessions, if any, I wanted to create something that reminded me of them all together, hence the wall of family portraits. There are two versions to print- one with the last names and one without. I didn’t have room for the whole name but wanted you to know who is who.
And because General Conference always takes place on Temple Square, here's a great close up of the Salt Lake Temple to color. You can even discuss why there is an Angel Moroni on most our temples and what he is doing with the trumpet.
This, by the way, is my favorite crayon pack. I love how easy it is to carry around, keep organized, has lots of shades, and it comes with a crayon sharpener. The Ultimate Crayon Collection Coloring Set includes other fun styles too such as metallic, glitter, and neon. Although, the glitter really doesn't do much.
Here's an Easter scene you can color. However, I couldn't decide how much I wanted to included in the picture at first. The end product will show no basket and less flowers. Save it for Easter or color it during General Conference weekend in April.
If you haven't tried watercolor pencils before, it's a lot of fun! There are three ways you can use them: 1) Color first then go over with a wet paintbrush. As you go over the colors, it'll blend which is fun to watch. 2) Wet the pencil first then color. It's a little longer and harder but it's fun to color then have it appear paintlike. 3.) If you paper is wet, you can use the pencil right over it. I haven't tried this method as it seems messier.
