Lesson 44: The Salt Lake Temple Is Constructed and Dedicated

The purpose in teaching Primary 5 Lesson 44: The Salt Lake Temple Is Constructed and Dedicated is to encourage everyone to live the law of chastity and be worthy to be married in the temple.

Teaching Thoughts

  • Real blocks would be much more fun in this lesson (I like foam blocks in this setting). Tape my building block cards (in the handouts below) onto your own set or at least play a little Jenga while you go through the questions.
  • Bring a picture of your temple and put it up next to the Salt Lake Temple at the end of your lesson. Challenge your class to prepare now to attend and go and touch the temple whenever they can.
  • Try out the trivia game included in The Red Headed Hostess class packet. This is a time these buzzers come in handy too!
