A testimony is an interesting thing. You can have an incredibly strong testimony one week but if you don't continue to nourish it, another week it won't be quite so bright. What things do you do to constantly feed your testimony? There are or course, the CPR answers which are absolutely true but there is so much more you can do too!
One great way is to continue to share your testimony- get up during fast and testimony meeting, have a Family Home Evening where everyone takes turns, or share it with yourself by writing it down.
If you are new, every Wednesday, different LDS bloggers share their favorite scripture and why via Facebook. In each Faceboook Live video, they will also tell you about the new free printable I make to go along with their scripture. Sometimes it's a poster to hang in your home, sometimes a coloring page or mini booklet. Be sure to check out some of the other scripture freebies you can use.
This week's favorite scripture is from Grady over at This Mormon Life. If you haven't listened to his podcasts yet, be sure to stop by and check them out. They are great way to get some extra nourishment for your week! Grady's favorite scripture is in 3 Nephi 11:15 which says,
And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
Jesus Christ images can be found on LDS.org
What a powerful experience- they each got to the bear record that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of mankind. Later they were commanded to go and share that testimony with those that were not present. They continued to share their testimony and strengthen it. This week, print out these 2 free printables and hang them side by side in your home- one with the testimony of the Nephites and one with your testimony- or better yet have your whole family record their testimonies. Everyone can write a simple testimony in a different color gel pen or print out a testimony sheet for each person. Read them daily and remember. Jesus Christ died for you and lives again.
Remember to head over to This Mormon Life for more insights on this beautiful scripture.
