In Esther 4:14 it says,
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
"Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" What a powerful reminder! Here Esther is preparing to to go to the king to save her people at the risk of her own life when Mordecai gives her this counsel.
What he points out is not only does God have a plan for each of us as individuals but also we are part of something more than ourselves. We are more than this moment. This moment is part of the story of eternity. We have a plan, we have a purpose. We aren't here on earth to simply wander around. You have a purpose. Such a powerful scripture.
If you are new, every Wednesday in the summer, different LDS bloggers share their favorite scripture and why via Facebook. In each Faceboook Live video, they will also tell you about the new free printable to go along with their scripture. Sometimes it's a poster to hang in your home, sometimes a coloring page, or even a mini booklet. Be sure to check out some of the other scripture freebies you can use after you grab this one.
This week's favorite scripture is from Heather at LDS Youth Leadership. She is constantly sharing great ideas to help the youth become leaders. I love her recent post, 5 Times When the Lord Trusted a Youth to Get the Job Done- it's a great reminder of how amazing young people are and how we can indeed trust them.
