January is the fresh-start month. New routines, new goals, and a new Come, Follow Me study in the Old Testament. We’re here to help you make what you are already doing a little easier, more consistent, and more memorable with some free printable activity pages. From a paper helicopter to simple coloring, we’ve got things to help you reinforce those important lessons.

Save it for later, pin it now

We love teaching through repetition especially the kind that helps truth sink in naturally. These printables give kids a reason to revisit the story, notice details, and connect ideas again and again… without you having to reinvent the wheel each week.

They’re also great if you need a quick teaching boost:

  • for family scripture study

  • for reinforcing the week’s lesson

  • or for the occasional “Surprise! You’re teaching Primary today” moment

January 5–11 (Moses 1; Abraham 3)

We’ve included a simple coloring page plus a word search for your family to enjoy. It’s a simple way to introduce the week’s themes and keep key words in front of your kids while they work with their hands. Color while you listen to some passages or a General Conference talk from October (see our January Playlists for recommendations and easy listening).

January 12–18 (Genesis 1–2; Moses 2–3; Abraham 4–5)

This week you’ll love our search and find activity plus another word search. What can we say? Our family loves word searches. This is a fun week to help kids look closely at the Creation story and catch things they might have missed otherwise.

January 19–25 (Genesis 3–4; Moses 4–5)

Okay, this might be our favorite one for the month. It’s a paper helicopter activity. The one thing our seminary teacher drilled into us as youth was that the fall was good. So we’re reinforcing that same principle with this simple craft. It’s a little hands-on learning for the win. Kids fold, test, and can say the simple phrase as they watch their helicopters fall to the ground. Need help folding? Watch our how-to video so you can jump right in without guessing.

January 26–February 1 (Genesis 5; Moses 6)

We using our creative brains today to stretch a little today just like Enoch. Kids process what they’re learning by creating something new out of something old. What can it truly become?

Print January Activity Pages

Level up the fun with almost zero extra effort by pairing these activity pages with one of our Old Testament Pen Pals. Your family will love using a special pen for scripture time (even our teens do). It helps make Come, Follow Me study time a little more fun and a lot more inviting.

Print one each week, keep them in a folder, and let repetition do its quiet, wonderful work. Oh, and share this post with a friend so they can reap the rewards too.
