Lesson 17: I Am Thankful for My Hands

The purpose of Primary 1 Lesson 17: I Am Thankful for My Hands is to appreciate what our hands can do.

Teaching Thoughts

These are a few bonus ideas- keep scrolling for more!

  • These next few lessons are really hard to find related activities through LDS.org. You can always refer back to the lesson about the body and continue to use those resources.
  • If you are doing the body drawing I mentioned in the previous lesson, color in the hands or put the different textures on the fingers. For example, glue a piece of bubble wrap on one paper finger, a strip of sandpaper on another, a feather, etc.
  • Do a fun hand art activity. You can find a bunch of ideas at C.R.A.F.T.
  • Bring a flashlight and do some fun shadow puppets as well!
  • The Red Headed Hostess has more ideas and printables to make this lesson great as well.
