The best part of my Christmas Countdown is you get to choose what’s on each day! Consider these fun advent ideas:

  • Make Christmas fudge

  • Go Christmas phone caroling

  • Put service activities to go with #LIGHTtheWORLD

  • Add in your holiday traditions like going to see the Christmas lights

  • Make it more mysterious by saying things like, “Give Mom a hug to see today’s surprise”

  • Eat a Christmas cookie

There are so many fun things you can fill your calendar up with!

Couple of different ways you can put together your Christmas Countdown

  • Write down all your Christmas activities on the countdown then cover them up with Scratch-Off Stickers (I bought these gold ones which work great. You need the 1 inch size). Scratch one off a day for a fun surprise.
  • If you are focusing on service this Christmas, write down activities that go with the #LIGHTtheWORLD themes. Then as you do them, cover the activity up with Scratch n Sniff Christmas stickers (They smell so good)! You can put it under your tree on Christmas Eve as your gift to Jesus.
  • Cut each white circle inside the ornament to open like a door. Paste a blank sheet of paper behind the advent to write the activities on. In the white circles on the ornaments, write what day to open each one.
  • Cut out magazine pictures, use other Christmas stickers, or draw your pictures instead of using words then cover them up with the Scratch-Off Stickers.
  • Make your calendars for each other. You can have a list of approved activities and pictures to use on the table then draw names and see whose Countdown you'll be making!
  • If you want to make multiple Countdowns with the same activities, write down your activities then make multiple copies. Covering them up with the Scratch-Off Stickers is the fastest way to go.

One of the great things about this countdown is you don’t have to go in any order either. There are 24 ornaments so as long as you do one a day, scratch off any one you want! If you do want things to be in a certain order, you can write the number on top of your scratch off sticker (it’ll still work) or near the ornament.

These will print black and white so it’s easy to print and make copies. If you want to add some color, print on colorful paper or color the ornaments before you put the stickers on.

Print Your Christmas Countdown

What are you waiting for!? Print your family’s Christmas Countdown now! These are so easy, you can even make one for each person in your family.

P.S. If you are printing these for your whole Primary, it’s okay to print more than 20. If it’s for anything else, please email me first. Thanks!
