Fun coloring tools to make these pages even more fun:

  • Grab some self-adhesive foam squares and turn your coloring page into a mosaic!
  • Use some Watercolor Pencils to color then blend with water. Great effect without too much mess.
  • Get out the glitter glue and add some pizzazz to your coloring pages. All the glitter fun without the endless cleaning of glitter.
  • Metallic markers add some fun too especially if you need something a little more manly. We use the Crayola ones all the time.
  • Get messy with some finger paints! I love the Crayola ones as they wash off easily too.

You’ll remember Elder Peter M. Johnson’s talk “Power to Overcome the Adversary” as the 3Ds. We need to watch out for adversary’s tactics of:

  1. Deception

  2. Distraction

  3. Discouragement.

The sacrament helps us fight against the last one, discouragement.

“There is a spiritual enlightenment associated with the sacrament- it is personal, it is powerful, and it is needed” is by Peter M. Johnson © By Intellectual Reserve, Inc.

Elder David A. Bednar reminded us to also watch out for the adversary with a story of cheetahs and topis. Elder Bednar’s three reminders are to:

  1. Watch out for evil’s beguiling disguises

  2. Stay awake and always be alert

  3. Understand the intent of the enemy

Review these lessons as you color together! Elder Bednar’s talk is titled “Watchful unto Prayer Continually.”

“Spiritual thoughtlessness invites great danger into our lives” is by David A. Bednar © By Intellectual Reserve, Inc.

“The Joy of the Saints” by Elder D. Todd Christofferson was one of the first talks that encouraged us to be joyful! I love how much joy was mentioned this past General Conference. Elder Christofferson shared a story of a woman who described finding the gospel and following God’s commandments to be like a captured bird that had finally been freed. There truly are so many blessings as we follow the Lord’s laws.

“Keeping the Lord’s commandments enables us more fully and more easily to feel His love” is by D. Todd Christofferson © By Intellectual Reserve, Inc.

President Russell M. Nelson shared with us “Spiritual Treasures” in the Women’s session of General Conference. There are so many good quotes in this one, it was hard to pick just one. However, this one that focuses on the temple and the power we leave with when we attend captures some of the key points of his talk. The temple pictured is the Denver Colorado Temple.

“Every time you worthily serve and worship in the temple, you leave armed with God’s power and with His angels having ‘charge over’ you” is by Russell M. Nelson © By Intellectual Reserve, Inc.
