How well do you know Elder Ronald A. Rasband?
Get to know Elder Rasband better with these fun facts:
The A stands for Anderson (his mother’s maiden name).
He was serving as the senior president of the Presidency of the Seventy when called as an apostle.
He figured he would be called to serve a mission in Germany as his dad and brother both went there. Even his future brother-in-law serve his mission to Germany. However, Elder Rasband served a mission in the Eastern States (USA). Part of his mission included the Bermuda islands.
Elder Rasband used to be the President and Chief Operating Officer of Huntsman Chemical Corporation. He first started working in the Huntsman corporation because Jon Huntsman, his ward’s high council advisor, admired the way Elder Rasband fulfilled his calling as elders quorum president.
He is the only child of his two parents. However, both his parents had been married and divorced so he does have two older brothers and a sister.
His boyhood stake president was James E. Faust who later became an apostle and member of the First Presidency.
Elder Rasband didn’t have time for sports as a youth- he worked a lot of jobs including one as a grocery checker and bagger.
He loved cars in high school and owned four before his mission.
